Gettier offered two cases in which a real belief is inferred from a justified false perception. He noticed that, intuitively, such beliefs can't be knowledge; it's merely fortunate that they are true. Must such justification — be it beneficial proof or be it reliability in belief-formation — be excellent help for or towards the belief’s being true?
